SCRIPTURE READING
GENESIS 39 - 41
"...but God meant it for good... to save many people alive." Gen 50v20, NKJV
As I was having a chat with two of my brothers in the Lord, (or maybe eavesdropping on their conversation, which I forcefully joined...lol), I heard the Spirit of God speak to me so clearly about something that many of us go through and yet never realize. This came to me in a very much practical way, and I was like, WHOA!?!?... (and this is where I then joined the conversation)...
In the book of Genesis, we read about the story of Joseph being sold by his brothers and later imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Then, YEARS LATER, he is taken out of prison at the king's command and made vice president (Gen 41v40).
So.... here's Joseph going through all this infliction WHISLT DOING GOOD; he never sinned, (at least from what we read); yet he went through a whole lot of turmoil; even during the turmoil he remained faithful to the will of God.....
....and this is usually the time when many of us ask the questions, WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG?, IS GOD MAD AT ME?, DOES GOD CARE ABOUT ME?, etc....
Now, God gave me this very practical and logical answer to these questions... I hope you get this revelation too and it helps you.... (suspense is now mounting, isn't it?!?, lol)
Joseph had an assignment to carry out... He wasn't gonna be able to do this remotely. He had to be IN PRISON to do it. And just like everyone else in prison, his situation wasn't any good. He had no rights and privileges like any other prisoner. He lost everything he had. The dreams he interpreted and the prosperous things he did in prison were part of his assignment. This is why he HAD TO BE IN PRISON.
So, just like Joseph, many of us find ourselves in prison-like situations. You continue to serve God faithfully, but you remain in prison; you help others find their way out of situations through ministry (just like Joseph and the butler in prison), yet you remain in prison; you will do good and many will be saved, but yet remain in prison.
But, just like Joseph, when God takes you out of the prison, the rise you will experience will not be comprehensible to the human mind; God will raise you so much that it will undoubtedly be evident that it was He who raised you.
So, is this practical or what? Your God-ordained assignments might take you through prison; Hold on, the rise after the prison is at hand; stay faithful and grounded; God has not forgotten about you; He's preparing you for something greater; He is proud of you.
PRAYER:
Thank You Father for the love You have for me; that You constantly remind me, when I forget, that You are still here for me, working all things out for my good even when there's not good noticeable around me. I pray that You continue being my strength through the prison time. This I pray believing, thankfully, that You can and will do what I ask, in the Name Jesus. AMEN
That's so encouraging,I thank God for this page.God bless u.
